Bali Interfood 2023

Suarajatim.com - Krista Exhibitions is organizing an international culinary exhibition, namely Bali Interfood 2023.

The exhibition is taking place from Thursday, September 7th, to Saturday, September 9th, 2023, at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, Bali.

Bali Interfood 2023 is held in conjunction with the Bali Hotel & Tourism event, Bali Coffee Expo, Bali Wine & Spirit, Bakery Indonesia Expo, and the 3rd Indonesia Licensing Expo (ILE) 2023.

"Bali is the second city to host this international food and beverage exhibition. Not less than 110 companies, with 40 of them being SMEs, are showcasing their flagship products," said Daud Dharma Salim, CEO of Krista Exhibitions at the Opening Ceremony.

Daud further explained that the main event will be held at Ji Expo Kemayoran Jakarta on November 8-11, 2023, with the theme "SIAL (Salon International de l’alimentation)." The hope is that Bali Interfood 2023 will serve as a valuable platform for businesses, especially in the food and beverage processing sector. Furthermore, culinary products play a significant role in Indonesia's tourism, particularly in Bali," added Daud.

In his address, Adhi S Lukman, Chairman of the Indonesian Food and Beverage Entrepreneurs Association (GAPMMI), expressed his support for the Interfood Bali 2023 exhibition.

"PT. Krista Exhibitions has experience in organizing various international exhibitions in Indonesia, including SIAL Interfood in Jakarta. Hopefully, the processed food industry, especially in Bali and its surroundings, can benefit from this exhibition. It can also foster new business relationships and keep up with the latest innovations to build a creative and highly competitive food industry," Adhi stated.

Similar sentiments were expressed by Susanty Widjaya, Chairman of the Indonesian Licensing Association (ASENSI) and Chairman of Culinary Affairs at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin). She revealed that Bali was chosen as one of the locations for the roadshow after Surabaya due to its high tourism potential.

"We believe that Bali's tourism is recovering, as seen in the data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Bali Province, which recorded 2.3 million foreign tourist visits to Bali in the first half of 2023, a 534.02 percent increase compared to the same period in 2022, which had only 371,323 foreign tourists," Susanty said.

Furthermore, Susanty also highlighted that Bali's economy experienced a 6.96 percent growth in the second quarter, and the Business Confidence Index grew by 8.8 percent compared to the previous quarter, which was only 4.4 percent.

At the end of 2022, Bali was even selected as the world's second most popular tourist destination. This reputation undoubtedly has a positive impact on Bali's culinary businesses.

Besides the exhibition, various other exciting events will also be held within Bali Interfood 2023. These include seminars and workshops with Embassy Chocolate, Beans to Bar Chocolate of Indonesia, Indonesia Coffee Art Battle - Liga Kopi (ICC League) SCAI, Cooking & Baking Demos with Celebrity Chefs, Traditional Cooking with Modern Utilities (Lotus Food), "Butchery" Meat Cutting Techniques (Lotus Food), Wine Classes & Programs (Hatten Wine), and many more.
