SUARAJATIM – J&T Express is expanding its mobile app beyond parcel delivery by partnering with Indonesian marketplace Toco, allowing customers to shop for more than 5,000 products through the logistics company's app.
Announced on October 21, 2026, the partnership uses an embedded commerce model that integrates Toco's product catalogue into the Mall section of the J&T Express app. Customers can browse products across various categories and proceed with purchases through Toco's connected system.
The initial catalogue includes products from more than 100 sellers on Toco, with additional selections expected to be introduced gradually.
Erick, Marketing Director of J&T Express, said the partnership reflects the company's efforts to expand the customer experience beyond delivery services.
“We want to build relationships with customers that are not formed only when they need delivery services, but also through other experiences relevant to their daily lives,” Erick said.
He added that the collaboration provides an opportunity to develop additional services accessible through the J&T Express app.
Shopping Access Through the Mall Feature
Customers can find a dedicated Toco section under the Mall feature in the J&T Express app. From there, they can browse available products and continue their transactions through Toco's connected platform.
The partnership also offers an additional benefit for customers. J&T Points can be exchanged for Toco shopping vouchers worth up to IDR 100,000. The vouchers can be applied to eligible purchases by entering the relevant code, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
Customers who access Toco's product catalogue through the J&T Express app will also be automatically registered as Toco members.
Expanding Opportunities for Online Sellers
Arnold Sebastian Egg, Founder and CEO of Toco, said the collaboration would help the marketplace expand its reach while creating more opportunities for sellers to connect with consumers.
“Through our collaboration with J&T Express, we are not only opening a new access point for J&T Express customers to discover products on Toco, but also expanding opportunities for our sellers to reach more consumers,” Arnold said.
Toco is an Indonesian marketplace founded by Arnold Sebastian Egg. Its business model focuses on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and brands through its lifetime zero-commission policy for sellers, known as the Gerakan 0% Potongan initiative.
For J&T Express, the partnership adds a shopping component to an app already used by millions of customers. The company, founded in 2015, operates across multiple markets, including Indonesia, China, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Mexico, Brazil and Egypt.
However, the announcement specifically concerns access to Toco's catalogue through the J&T Express app. It does not state that the shopping feature is available across all J&T Express markets.
